The head of Twitter Elon Musk has revealed an obscure Federal Agency as a dangerous actor in the censorship of the free speech as well as the manipulation of the media.

The GEC (Global Engagement Center) states its mission on its website to direct, lead, and coordinate U.S. Federal Government efforts to recognize, understand, expose, and counter foreign state and nonstate propaganda. The agency's purpose is to stop those using disinformation and propaganda.

The real purpose is to censor what it considers enemies to its cause and is not an impartial entity but instead a destructive bloated Government Agency when it went to the media with a report called, Russian Disinformation Apparatus Taking Advantage of Coronavirus Concerns". The agency flagged social media accounts as Russian personas and proxies.

This coordination and effort has made them a threat to our country and they have even targeted Musk for buying Twitter to amplify his own views. The GEC had released a tremendous amount of negative information on Musk and if any one Agency is a threat to our country, the GEC is it.

We cannot allow governmental entities to attack people for freely speaking and yes that does make the GEC dangerous. It does not help that most media have made themselves. The solution is to protect democracy by allowing differences of view without the fear of being targeted for destruction by a group or media. Media has a responsibility to act in good faith and this agency should have no place being used as a weapon against the country's own citizens.
